Overview

The Marketing + Purpose Manager, Business Development will play a crucial role in driving customer acquisition and co-op growth at the top of the funnel across the region. This data-driven role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and campaigns across various channels, including direct mail, paid media, and partner marketing to drive awareness, consideration, and conversion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multi-channel marketing, data-driven decision-making, and strong project management skills.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Lead top-of-funnel marketing strategy to generate and accelerate customer growth and revenue. 
  • Develop and implement scaled marketing campaigns that drive awareness, consideration, and conversion across all PCC sales channels (stores, delivery cooking classes, and others). 
  • Plan and implement the co-op's annual paid marketing campaigns including digital advertising, traditional media, and direct mail, managing vendors to continuously improve performance while maximizing return on ad spend. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align marketing efforts with business goals. 
  • Track the effectiveness of all campaigns and continuously identify areas for improvement. 
  • Report on strategy and campaign effectiveness, conduct financial analysis on each initiative, and report on progress and results to senior leadership.   
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses to extend the co-op's reach and attract new customers. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field. 
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in customer acquisition marketing, preferably within the retail industry. 
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing marketing budgets exceeding $1 million. 
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing vendors or agencies. 
  • Proven track record of successful multi-channel marketing campaigns, including direct mail and paid media. 
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making and campaign optimization. 
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage many projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and problem solve with excellent attention to details. 
  • Strong computer skills, including excellent level of experience with Excel. 
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to anticipate problems and follow through to complete tasks successfully. 
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive customer service orientation toward staff and the public. 
  • Team player and appreciates working collaboratively as well as independently. 
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed and able to travel to all store locations and work-related events. 
  • Valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation. 
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including occasionally lifting and moving large objects or boxes.
