Main Job Responsibilities

  • Baking off cookies, scones, and other items from the commissary
  • Packaging and retail merchandising for the deli and bakery items 
  • Perform basic food preparation in accordance with PCC recipes
  • Rotating product on the retail shelves, back room, freezer, and cooler
  • Setting the bake case with product and proper signage
  • Unloading incoming orders from the commissary and labeling items
  • Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met
  • Becomes knowledgeable about deli products, specialty foods, baked goods, and prepared foods
  • Provides excellent, professional customer service
  • Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met

Qualifications and Skills

  • Available to work the overnight shift, including weekends 
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Previous food preparation experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to meet physical requirements of standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly
  • A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Proven ability to perform excellent, professional customer service
