Overview

The Senior Recruiter is responsible for assisting with the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of PCC staff.  Working collaboratively with store and office leadership, the Senior Recruiter supports the hiring of PCC’s beloved, customer-service, and passionate staff across our co-op.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with office managers, store managers, and department heads to search for strong candidates in response to the Co-op’s hiring needs
  • Reviews applications and conducts screenings and interviews to assess skills and abilities
  • Develops and implements internal and external hiring procedures for the interview and hiring processes
  • Partners with HR Generalists in the field to support the store hiring
  • Provides administrative support including job postings, scheduling interviews, advertising job openings across multiple channels, interview follow up and other tasks as assigned
  • Manages applicant information in Applicant Tracking System
  • Represents PCC to the public in a courteous, knowledgeable and outgoing manner
  • Organizes and participates in job fairs and other employment outreach
  • Creates and maintains relationships with external search agencies to build and strengthen candidate pipelines
  • Assists with designing procedures for each hiring stage, including assessments and interview questions
  • Prepares hiring status reports including open roles and filled positions
  • Facilitates training sessions and orientations
  • Handles confidential information using discretion and good judgement
  • Other recruitment duties, as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to work in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive customer service orientation toward staff and applicants
  • Passion for working with people and developing relationships with internal contacts and external organizations
  • 3-5 years of experience interviewing and evaluating candidates
  • Experience with recruiting and outreach efforts in high volume recruiting
  • Self-motivated including the ability and confidence to hit the ground running
  • Familiarity with hiring-related labor laws in Washington state
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), iCIMS preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills and ability
  • Strong organizational to detail, time management skills, and ability to prioritize open issues
  • Ability to be a team player and appreciate working collaboratively as well as independently
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to anticipate problems and follow through to complete tasks successfully
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends, and able to travel to all store locations and to other work-related locations
