Main Job Responsibilities

  • Models and provides excellent, professional customer service
  • Responsible for oversight of the beer and wine department
  • Orders, stocks and builds displays in the beer and wine department
  • Communicates with vendors, PCC staff, members and other customers regarding beer and wine
  • Ensures the department is well merchandised and has the correct signage
  • Ensues department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met
  • Provides leadership and direction for the beer and wine department
  • Willingness to perform other tasks including cashiering when needed
  • Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
  • Must have extensive beer and wine product knowledge and be motivated to expand knowledge
  • Previous retail or public customer contact experience and background in retail grocery industry required
  • Available to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent leadership, teambuilding, and communication skills
  • Must demonstrate basic math skills and computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Must have strong organizational, attention to detail, and multitasking skills
  • Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, and repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs
  • If hired into this role, a Class 12 permit is required if working in a store where alcohol tastings take place (paid for by PCC).
  • A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
