Cashier/Grocery Clerk

The Cashier/Grocery Clerk position generally has a balance between cashiering and working in the grocery department. They provide excellent, professional customer service. They stock and rotate grocery, dairy, frozen and bulk items. The Cashier/Grocery Clerk may also assist other departments.

• Stocks grocery displays with attention to quantity, quality, timeliness, appearance of displays, and merchandising plan
• Handles price changes and signage, including ad change
• Fills in for Receiving, Night Crew, Dairy, and Beer & Wine departments when needed  
• Helps maintain integrity of organic standards for the bulk department

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service 
• Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, mid-day shifts and weekends 
• Must demonstrate basic math skills and proficiency at 10-key 
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Previous retail or public customer contact experience desired; background in cashiering or retail grocery industry preferred
• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive
  motion, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
