  • Overview

    The Dairy Back Up assists in overseeing the Dairy department including stocking, facing, ordering, merchandising and inventory. They maintain order and cleanliness in the department and provide excellent, professional customer service.

    Main Job Responsibilities

    • Provide excellent, professional customer service
    • Accurately and efficiently scan and key items into register
    • Receive and process all payments according to PCC standards
    • Perform basic math skills and proficient at 10-key
    • Communicate effectively about PCCs membership and programs
    • Handle merchandise returns
    • Bag groceries according to PCC bagging guidelines
    • Maintain an orderly appearance at the register
    • Assists the Dairy Buyer in overseeing and managing dairy department operations, including stocking, facing, ordering, merchandising and inventory
    • Orders and stocks some freezer items
    • Maintain order and cleanliness in the dairy department. Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met  
    • May be responsible in training others to stock and face the dairy department

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
    • Available to work a variety of shifts including weekends
    • Must demonstrate basic math skills and proficiency at 10-key
    • Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills
    • Previous retail or public customer contact experience desired; background in cashiering or retail grocery industry preferred
    • Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
