PCC Cooks Class Assistant - Central Seattle Stores

Part Time, 10-24 hours/week


PCC Cooking Class Assistants provide support to PCC Cooking Class instructors with classroom set up, food prep, and clean up. In addition, Cooking Class Assistants ensure students’ success by providing excellent customer service from class start to finish.  


This opening is for stores in Central Seattle. These stores include Ballard --  Fremont -- Columbia City -- Green Lake Village -- Green Lake Aurora – Viewridge -- Central District.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent, professional customer service
  • Assists instructors and students during PCC cooking classes
  • Assists with food prep as directed, sets up classroom, and greets students
  • Cleans up after class and ensures classroom and equipment is clean and ready for next class
  • Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met
  • Cleans refrigerator, ovens and stove top as needed

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to Cooking Classes Manager 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service 
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule; must be available to consistently work evenings and weekends
  • Comfortable working with children
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven ability to practice safe cleaning methods and product handling
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10 to 30 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
