Overview

PCC Cooking Class Assistants aid and supervise PCC Cooking Classes Kids’ Camp attendees. During classes, they provide excellent, professional customer service to both external and internal customers.

They provide support to the instructor, including classroom set-up, food prep, serving samples, washing dishes, and clean up.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent, professional customer service to both external and internal customers
  • Assists and supervises PCC Cooks Camp attendees during class
  • Provides support to the instructor, including classroom set-up, food prep, serving samples, washing dishes, and cleaning
  • Works effectively in cooperation with the instructor and fellow assistants
  • Follows safe food handling procedures
  • Ensures classroom is clean and ready for the next class, and communicates classroom issues to PCC Cooks Staff
  • Restocks the classroom pantry

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated excellent, professional customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced classroom setting
  • Experience working with school-age children (ages 8 to 15)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion and lifting up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Available weekday mornings and afternoons

 

PREFERRED:

  • Previous food preparation experience

Additional Details

Our Cooking Camp begins in June and runs through the end of August. Assistants must be able to support 2 PCC store locations.
