Flex Clerks have the unique opportunity to learn about and participate in multiple departments! Flex Clerks generally have a balance between cashiering and working in the grocery and produce departments. They provide excellent, professional customer service. They stock and rotate grocery, dairy, frozen and bulk items. They build and maintain produce displays and rotate back stock and sales floor product. Flex clerks may also assist other departments, such as the Deli.

Front End Helper Clerks provide excellent, professional customer service while bagging groceries and providing carryout. They participate in general cleaning around the store, including sweeping and taking out the trash. They may also stock and face groceries as needed.

The Central Kitchen Person in Charge oversees staff and provides leadership for department in absence of manager.

The Dairy Buyer manages the Dairy department including stocking, facing, ordering, merchandising and inventory. They maintain order and cleanliness in the department. The Back of House Deli Steward participates in Deli kitchen operations including cooking, retail merchandising, production planning, ordering and developing skills related to food cost analysis and staffing. They develop skills to provide mentorship and coaching to deli staff, including setting the standard for excellent customer service.

The Grocery Lead assists in managing Grocery Department operations, including scheduling, ordering, productivity, budgeting, inventory, gross profit and reporting. They supervise and coach Grocery Department staff, and model and provide excellent, professional customer service.

Cashiers provide excellent, professional customer service while accurately and efficiently processing orders and payments at the register. They promote PCC membership and programs.

Courtesy Clerks provide excellent, professional customer service while bagging groceries and providing carryout. They participate in general cleaning around the store, including sweeping and taking out the trash.

The Receiver receives authorized merchandise and processes all credits and shortages. They are responsible for proper processing and storage of all invoices, scanning and tracking shrink, store transfers and end of day procedures.

The Cheese Specialist oversees the Cheese department within the Deli, including mentoring and training staff, ordering and inventory. They provide excellent, professional customer service. They demonstrate knowledge of cheese varieties and wrapping and handling procedures.
