The primary role of the Temporary Event Assistant is to support PCC events, held in-store and offsite, during Q4 (Oct – Dec) 2026. They provide support to the event lead, including event set up and breakdown. Overnight Bakery Helper Clerks prepare, portion, package and label baked goods and prepared foods. They provide excellent, professional customer service when needed. 

Flex Clerks have the unique opportunity to learn about and participate in multiple departments! Flex Clerks generally have a balance between cashiering and working in the grocery and produce departments. They provide excellent, professional customer service. They stock and rotate grocery, dairy, frozen and bulk items. They build and maintain produce displays and rotate back stock and sales floor product. Flex clerks may also assist other departments, such as the Deli.

Cooks produce prepared foods in accordance with PCC recipes for the deli case, hot bar, soup bar and other deli stations. They provide excellent, professional customer service.

Deli Helper Clerks provide excellent customer service at the deli counter and other deli stations. They perform basic food prep, package deli items and clean in the deli area.

Courtesy Clerks provide excellent, professional customer service while bagging groceries and providing carryout. They participate in general cleaning around the store, including sweeping and taking out the trash.

Janitorial Helper Clerks Maintain order and cleanliness throughout the store, including sweeping and mopping, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining eating areas and taking out the trash. They do deep cleaning projects as needed and provide excellent, professional customer service. They may fill in in the Grocery department if assigned.

Deli Clerks provide excellent customer service at the deli counter and other deli stations. They perform basic food prep, package deli items and clean in the deli area.

Grocery Helper Clerks provide excellent, professional customer service. They stock and rotate grocery, dairy, frozen and bulk items and serve as the go-to person for special orders and grocery questions.

Janitorial Helper Clerks Maintain order and cleanliness throughout the store, including sweeping and mopping, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining eating areas and taking out the trash. They do deep cleaning projects as needed and provide excellent, professional customer service. They may fill in in the Grocery department if assigned.

The Dairy Back Up assists in overseeing the Dairy department including stocking, facing, ordering, merchandising and inventory. They maintain order and cleanliness in the department and provide excellent, professional customer service.

Beer and Wine Back Ups/Cashiers cashier and serve as a back up to the store's Beer and Wine Steward. They provide customer service in the Beer and Wine department, order and receive product and maintain relationships with customers and vendors.

The Back of House Deli Steward participates in Deli kitchen operations including cooking, retail merchandising, production planning, ordering and developing skills related to food cost analysis and staffing. They develop skills to provide mentorship and coaching to deli staff, including setting the standard for excellent customer service.

The Health and Body Care (HBC) Clerk/Cashier provides excellent, professional customer service in the Health and Body Care department. When cashiering, they accurately and efficiently process orders and payments at the register. They order, receive, stock and merchandise Health and Body Care products.

The Person In Charge oversees the entire store, ensuring that all PCC policies and procedures are followed. They provide and model excellent, professional customer service. They supervise the front end, overseeing the schedule and job responsibilities of Cashiers, Helper Clerks, Courtesy Clerks and other staff. They protect the safety of staff and customers and security of PCC property.  

Produce Helper Clerks provide excellent, professional customer service. They build and maintain produce displays and rotate back stock and sales floor product. They unload and organize incoming orders.

Central Kitchen Helper Clerks perform basic food preparation, packaging and labeling of Commissary items. They label, assemble and check invoices for outgoing commissary orders.
