They assist in the operation of the Grocery Department by placing grocery orders, receiving and checking incoming orders, storing and rotating products, arranging credits from vendors and processing invoices. They stock and face grocery displays with attention to quantity, quality, timeliness, appearance of displays and the merchandising plan.
Overnight Deli Helper Clerks perform basic food preparation including portioning, packaging and stocking grab and go items overnight. They provide excellent customer service when needed.
The Deli Lead assists in overseeing Deli operations including front of house service, retail merchandising and production cooking. They provide mentorship and coaching to deli staff, including setting the standard for excellent customer service. They participate in department planning including scheduling, budgeting and product mix.

They supervise the front end, overseeing the schedule and job responsibilities of Cashiers, Helper Clerks, Courtesy Clerks and other staff.
